man of my dreams. But what happens when that isn’t enough anymore? I knew something was
different about Justin Rich. The way his eyes lingered a little longer on places they shouldn’t, his
brazenness and suggestive double meanings excited me. I knew I was flirting with danger but I

I was standing in the middle of nowhere with no real destination in mind. There was only the dire
need to disappear from Charleston. With my head tilted up to the gray sky and my eyes closed, I let
the light droplets of rain fall onto my face. I’d reached a crossroads in my life and was trying to find a
reason to keep going. I had no idea a hurricane was coming and fate would choose that moment for
our paths to cross.
“Hey! You okay?” A voice called out to me in a deep southern drawl, pulling me out of my fog. “Can I
give you a ride somewhere?”
I opened my eyes and found a pair of intense blue eyes staring back at me. His name was Fox. He
had an irresistibly sexy grin, and judging by his fast car, a need for speed. His timing couldn’t have
been more perfect. I was looking to start a little trouble, since it was what I did best and he seemed
like a good target. After sharing an incredible night together, I quickly learned that Fox was more
than he appeared and full of delicious surprises. He gifted my body with unbelievable pleasures and
unlocked emotions that I’d wanted to keep hidden. When I pushed him away, he left claiming a
piece of my soul.
I never imagined that getting into his car that day would start a transformation within me and
forever change the course of my life. Fox challenged every rule I’d ever made by tearing down the
carefully constructed barriers around my heart. I never intended to fall in love with him but how
could I resist a man who was so different than I’d expected and more than I ever deserved? The
grayness in my life caused by loss and betrayal was waging a storm within me; Fox was the anchor I
needed to stop the inner turmoil and bring me back into the light.

Jonna Fox has made it her business to know everything about Mack King and it didn’t matter that he
was her brother’s rival. For the last four years, he has dominated the sport of illegal street racing and
was the undisputed Carolina King. Racers respected him, emulators hated him and women couldn’t
resist him. There was a dangerous edge to Mack which only fueled Jonna’s attraction, but the
problem was he had no idea she even existed.
No longer able to ignore her full-blown obsession, Jonna decides to make herself known to Mack. As
soon as he spots her boldly moving through the crowd wearing a short skirt, and sexy high heels he
wastes no time taking the bait. Except one incredibly hot and passion filled night would never be
enough—for either of them.
Jonna learns that underneath the heavy weight of his crown there is so much more to Mack and the
life he leads. Racing is everything to him, but in order to stay on top he succumbs to activities that
have serious consequences. When a myriad of poor choices result in a situation which threatens to
strip Mack King of much more than just his title, he must decide either to give up the life that has
defined him or the girl who brings light to his darkness. Which will Mack choose and will it be easy as
he thinks to walk away?

Tell us a little about yourself – Author Spotlight
For years and years I only read historical romances. Nothing else. I didn’t enjoy any other
romance genres. I could not stand modern stories or paranormal stuff. None of that. No way.
That was until Fifty Shades of Grey and the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I call them my
gateway books. Now, I love it all and especially Kristen Ashley’s work. If I hadn’t stepped
out of my comfort zone I would have never found all of these other wonderful stories years
later in the indie book community. I have plenty of other genres in my head that I am looking
forward to exploring through my writing.
Author Interview!
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m currently working on the 3rd book on the Drive Me Wild series, Carolina Crush. Blake and Tayia’s
story, the step brother and sister from the first two books.
What was your ideal career when you were a child?
I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I might be showing my age a little but my parents bought me a
typewriter for Christmas when I was twelve, yes an actual typewriter with ink ribbons and everything. I
started typing out my first story, though I didn’t get very far.
What’s your favourite published work of yours and why?
It’s hard to choose a favourite. I love all of them for different reasons, I also think my writing abilities
improve with each book. True was my first ever completed story so I think it was always secretly be my
favourite. It represented a big accomplishment for me and the start of living my dream.
When you’re not writing, what do you like to do?
I love to read but I don’t have much time for it anymore with all these new stories swirling around in my
head. I also try to spend as much time with my son as I can. He’s my favourite person in the world to
hang out with.
Is there a favourite place or time of day you like to write?
I like to write on the weekends on the couch on my living room. There is something about all the
sunlight and wide open space that helps me creatively. But if the ideas are flowing I’ll write anywhere, in
the car at soccer practice, at my desk at work, or in bed at midnight because I can’t get to sleep unless I
type out the scene that is demanding to be written.
Do you have a favourite author who influences your work?
All authors influence me. Just finishing a story and putting it out there for others to read is a huge
accomplishment. It takes courage and I envy anyone who takes that scary step. I’m quite partial to
Kristen Ashley’s work. She has a distinct writing style that you recognize right away, someday I hope to
accomplish the same thing.
If you could bring one of your characters to life, which one would it be and why?
Mack King from Carolina King. I knew I was going to like him when his character came to me in Carolina
Hurricane and I was right. He’s my favourite. Shh
Do your family and friends know about your writing life or is it a well kept secret?
Most of my family and friends know about my writing. My closest friends actual read my stories and
critique them for me. I’m really shocked by how supportive everyone has been, it’s great.
Where did your passion for writing begin and what inspired you to become a published author?
When I was in sixth grade our teacher would read to us every day after recess and I started looking
forward to it. Sometimes she would ask us to write what we thought happened to the characters after
the story was over. I loved being creative and coming up with answers. I was inspired to publish when I
started beta reading for several indie author friends and many of them suggested that I write my own
stories and so I did.
What would you say has been your biggest writing achievement so far?
Putting out stories that don’t suck. Lol! I was worried that people would hate my work but so far so
good. My biggest fear is to be told that my writing wasn’t any good. I can handle people not liking my
characters or their actions because everyone is entitled to their opinion but if my story telling isn’t any
good, that would be tough to take.
Favourites:
- Colour- Purple
- Movie Star- Brad Pitt, always Brad Pitt.
- Dessert- Banana pudding. The real kind with homemade custard and whipped cream.
- Band/Music- Tough one. I love all music and go through different phases. Foo Fighters, Modest
Mouse, Sam Smith, Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, Phantogram... I could go on and on...
- Saying:
"What if I fall?"
“Oh but my darling, what if you fly?”
