My special talent is not punching people in the face when they anger me. ;)

2. What do you consider are your strengths?

My ability to keep moving forward, despite the shitty things that have happened.

3. What do you consider are your weaknesses?

My need to do everything for myself and the walls I build around me to keep everyone out.

4. What are your hobbies or interests?

Music and writing mostly.

5. What do you hope to accomplish in the future?

I always wanted to write, but I thought it would be just as fulfilling to work with women who have been abused.

Author Interview:

1.What inspired you to write your first book?

In high school, we had a very attractive male teacher. All the females crushed on him and I thought it would make a good story if he actually returned one of their feelings (real life hot teacher did not).

2. What books have most influenced your life most?

The Harry Potter series. It was and still is my all time favorite series! I waited in lineups for those books and I hate lineups.

3. If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor and why?

Probably J.K. Rowling. She never gave up on her dream or herself and it ultimately paid off.

4. Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

Finding the time, mostly! With two little ones finding time to sit down and write is a challenge. That will change come September when they will both be in school.

5. What was the hardest part of writing your book?

Hitting publish! It was a really scary experience.

6. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers and potential readers?

The books that I write definitely focus on some pretty heavy subjects and they aren't always cookie-cut love stories. Romance is heavily laced within the pages, of course, but I like endings that make sense for my books. Eventually, my characters get their happily ever afters though.
